About The Position

The main role of the employee will be to take care of our 9-year-old autistic son, who is minimally verbal and homeschooled. The caregiver will assist during specific hours in the morning, between school, and later in the evening. Responsibilities include driving the son to group physical activities in the evening, running errands, and performing house chores when not directly engaged with the child. The schedule is flexible, with some days requiring more hands-on involvement with the son, while other days may involve cooking and cleaning. The family follows a special diet, with the son eating meat while the parents are vegetarians, so knowledge of healthy meal preparation is essential. The estimated start date is ASAP, and the position is full-time, requiring 11-12 hours of work per day, five days a week, with weekends off.

Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Experience working with special needs children
• Ability to prepare healthy meals
• Physically fit to assist with the child's activities
• Safe and reliable driver
• Strong commitment to the schedule and responsibilities
