About The Position

We are seeking an experienced caregiver to provide dedicated care for our clients near the Wurzbach and NW Military area. This role requires a compassionate individual with a strong background in assisted living and homecare.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain vital signs, record them, and notify the office of deviations according to standard practice.
  • Assist with personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, dressing, hair care, shaving, deodorant application, skin care, foot care, and ear care (Q-tips are not to be used).
  • Provide nail care and oral hygiene as needed to facilitate treatment or prevent deterioration (nail cutting or filing will NOT be done).
  • Change bed linens and make the bed.
  • Assist with eating and maintaining adequate nutrition and fluid intake when appropriate.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfers, including helping patients to the toilet/commode or with bedpans, assisting in and out of bed, and with other transfers and positional needs as appropriate.
  • Perform incidental household services essential to patient health care, such as light housekeeping, straightening rooms, and laundry.
  • Provide medication reminders.
  • Understand and apply basic infection control principles and procedures, contacting the supervisor with any concerns related to infection control.
  • Follow the Plan of Care (Instruction Sheet) as instructed by the Agency's health care professional.
  • Document appropriately according to the Plan of Care and submit all documentation per agency policy.
  • Observe physical and gross behavioral changes in the patient's condition or family situation and report to the office.
  • Follow the visit schedule and indicate changes in the schedule as appropriate.
  • Promptly contact patients and the office whenever unable to visit a patient as scheduled and provide a full report concerning patient care and visit times.
  • Communicate appropriately with patient/family and Agency personnel.
  • Attend required in-services and meetings as identified by the Agency (must have 12 hours of in-service per year).
  • Adhere to the Agency's Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities as indicated.

Benefits

  • Pay: $15 for CNA and $14 for Non-licensed positions.
  • Flexible schedule on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
