Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months-1 year experience in direct care of individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Must have some experience working with severe behavioral challenges such as verbal and physical aggression, running away, and so on.
  • Behavioral de-escalation, knowledge of client rights and advocacy, strong communication skills
  • Must be able to pass applicable criminal and driver history background checks and a pre-employment physical and TB test.
  • Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
  • Valid CA Driver's license
  • Must have driver history of at least one year as a licensed driver (in any US state)
  • All positions require working at least one weekend shift (some schedules include both weekend days) on a regular basis

  • DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2 certifications - PREFERRED
