You found it! Caregiver/Direct Support Professional Would you like to make a positive difference in the lives of others? Join our mission. Based in community settings, within a program, and working closely with our clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, DSPs provide assistance and strategies to the individuals we serve to live as independently as possible. Provide one-on-one positive and friendly companionship while doing outings in the community - activities include things like going out to eat, museums, movies, run errands, going to local parks, and other recreational activities the individual is interested in Transportation and support out in the community: outings/field trips, medical appointments, and shopping Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, social skills, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilities Assist individuals we serve to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors Why Join Us? Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be minimum of 18 years of age
- Six months of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
- Valid CA driver’s license in good standing (no exceptions)
- Access to a reliable vehicle with proof of valid insurance and registration
- Successful clearance of background checks
- A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do
