About The Position

This position involves meaningful work in the community, providing one-on-one support in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for adult individuals (18 years of age and older) with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The goal is to help clients reach their full potential. No prior experience is needed, as BAYADA offers Direct Support Professional training through its Apprentice Program. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year experience working with I/DD individuals; If you do not have this experience, paid training is available

Responsibilities

• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
