About The Position

BrightStar Care of Sugar Land is looking for a dedicated and reliable caregiver to join our team. At BrightStar Care, we provide uplifting in-home care for seniors as well as clients of all ages who require a helping hand, a supportive companion, and day-to-day assistance in their homes. This position is located close in Fresno, TX (close to Missouri City). In this position, you will provide hands-on care for two individuals in their home. Day shifts Monday-Thursday, 24 hours per week. At BrightStar Care, we value each of our employees and care about their well-being. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid CPR Certificate (can get upon hire)
Negative TB skin test within the last 12 months (can get upon hire)
Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance with reliable vehicle
Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality
Must be eligible status on AHCA level 2 background
Negative drug screen and motor vehicle background screening
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

candidates with experience as a CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or similar positions

Responsibilities

Assist with bathing, dressing, ambulation, meal preparation, and transfers using a hoyer lift
Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing
