Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in assisted living, long term care, or other care environments
Previous experience working with persons with dementia, older adults, or other populations needing physical or behavioral assistance
Knowledge regarding the healthcare field
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or desire to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and grow within the healthcare field

Responsibilities

Provides assistance to resident or cues resident in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) (dressing/undressing, personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, eating/drinking, mobility, etc.)
Provides assistance to residents in instrumental activities of daily living (telephone use, housekeeping, care of personal belongings, laundry, etc.)
Monitors safety and well-being of residents and living environment
Documents and records critical data points of resident well-being
Initiates and participates in life enrichment activities with the residents, in conjunction and collaboration with Life Enrichment staff
Performs light housekeeping and maintenance tasks in order to assure and maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming home environment for the residents
Completes miscellaneous office/administrative tasks (monitoring supplies, printing forms, handling paperwork, etc.)
Assists in preparing for and facilitating resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
Other duties as requested
