Harmony Gardens, a Cassia community, is hiring Caregivers (CNA/ HHA/ PCA) to join our team in Maplewood, MN. This is a great opportunity for those seeking entry-level work or wanting to learn and grow in a healthcare setting. No experience is needed as we will provide training to set you up for success. As a Caregiver at Harmony Gardens, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to enhance your skills and confidence. you will provide person-centered care to our residents, supporting them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering/bathing, shampooing of hair and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence and well-being. This position is ideal for someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Attendant (PCA) experience preferred but not required. We will train you!
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • A passion for geriatric care.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
  • Ability to work a consistent work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
  • Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the nurse.
  • Document services performed on computerized charting system.
  • Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
  • Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
