You’ll be responsible for providing students with individual career transition services in compliance with government and management directives. Essential functions: Develop a career transition plan for assigned students and monitor the progress of assigned students. Assist assigned students with individual career selection and assess student workplace readiness; provide labor market information on geographic areas of interest. Provide referral or post separation services as needed. Coordinate and maintain communication with other departments pertaining to student career transition. Teach a class to students the skills and knowledge to create a resume and cover letter, develop professionalism, understand employability, practice financial literacy, work with others, and learn to interview for jobs. Work with a team of staff supporting students transitioning from job career development to job placement. Understand the value of creating community within a classroom and engage students in discourse when learning.
