About The Position

The Career Systems Manager at the University of Florida serves as a pivotal point of contact for various projects within the Career Connections Center (C3), focusing on enhancing user experience and ensuring system effectiveness across the center. This role involves acting as the database administrator for the Gator CareerLink system, which is the university's online employment database system powered by Symplicity. The manager will collaborate with all facets of the center and its broader portfolio to evaluate and disseminate system information to relevant stakeholders, making recommendations aimed at improving services and operational efficiencies through technology. In addition to overseeing system updates and staff training, the Career Systems Manager will support the center's initiatives by managing technical aspects and relationships with the University of Florida's IT department and the Office of the Registrar. The role requires the collection and reporting of trends related to career readiness and center programs, providing insights and suggestions based on these projections. The manager will ensure the quality and integrity of the database, maintaining accurate tracking methods for reporting and compliance with university standards. Monthly reports will be generated to share trend data with various stakeholders, and the manager will respond to internal and external data requests in a timely manner. The position also involves managing vendor relationships to ensure the effective implementation of system updates and adherence to best practices in system usage. The manager will maintain quantitative and qualitative records for various interactions, aiding in assessment and reporting to demonstrate the impact of the center's services. Additionally, the role includes developing outreach and communication plans to raise awareness of career preparedness technology and educational tools available to the campus community. Other administrative duties may be assigned by senior management, and the manager is expected to participate in departmental and university-wide committees, potentially supervising interns or student assistants. The Career Systems Manager will track, report, and communicate project outcomes to various stakeholders, embodying the center's values in all job functions.
