About The Position

The Career Services Officer plays a crucial role in guiding and empowering students and graduates in their professional journeys. This position involves mentoring, organizing career development workshops, and collaborating with Employment Specialists to connect students with job opportunities, ultimately contributing to the mission of graduating career-ready individuals.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; at least two years of experience in Career Services, School Counseling, or Workforce Development preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of job application processes, interview techniques, and resume development.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, graduates, faculty, and administration to achieve high placement success rates, aligned with CBD's mission.
• Partner with Employment Specialists to coordinate externship placements, ensuring all documentation is completed per accreditation standards.
• Deliver CBD Edge, a comprehensive career counseling program, including workshops, e-portfolio creation, and skill-building activities.
• Organize and execute career-focused events such as job fairs, interview panels, and guest speaker sessions.
• Accurately document all student and graduate interactions in the case management system (Salesforce).
• Develop alumni associations, facilitate regular alumni meetings, and plan networking events.
• Collect and analyze employer feedback and graduate surveys to improve services.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory standards.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Career Services.
