About The Position
The Career Services Coach at Miller-Motte College is a vital role designed to support and guide students and alumni in their career development and employability skills. This position is based at the Augusta, GA campus and is responsible for providing ongoing career coaching through various methods, including classroom presentations, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions. The Career Services Coach will collaborate closely with the Director of Career Services and other staff members to assess student progress and ensure they are on track to achieve their career goals. In this role, the Career Services Coach will conduct mock interviews, assist with resume writing, and provide job search guidance to graduates. They will also play a key role in organizing and participating in on-campus events such as career fairs and Program Advisory Committee meetings. Accurate documentation of all interactions with students, graduates, and employers is essential, and the Coach will utilize CampusVue/CampusNexus for this purpose. The position requires a proactive approach to outreach, ensuring that communication with students and graduates is maintained, and viable employment opportunities are identified through community and employer outreach efforts. The Career Services Coach will also be responsible for tracking unplaced graduates and understanding their employment criteria needs, ensuring that they receive the necessary support to secure employment in their chosen fields. This role is crucial in fostering a supportive environment for students as they transition from education to employment, and it requires a strong commitment to customer service and public presentation skills.
