About The Position

The Career Service Advisor plays a pivotal role in equipping students and graduates with the essential job search skills required to secure employment in their respective fields of study. This position is integral to ensuring alignment with program objectives and fostering successful career outcomes for graduates. By collaborating closely with the education department and administrative staff, the Career Service Advisor delivers comprehensive placement services and evaluates graduate and employer satisfaction through detailed survey analysis. Key aspects of this role include: Providing strategic career guidance to empower students and graduates to achieve professional success in the Allied Healthcare field. Developing and implementing targeted plans to meet employment objectives and exceed departmental performance metrics. Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, graduates, and the medical community to enhance placement opportunities. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accrediting standards to uphold the integrity of career services operations. Contributing to a collaborative team environment that prioritizes student success and professional development. This position offers a dynamic and results-oriented work environment where you can make a tangible impact on the career trajectories of graduates while fostering meaningful connections within the healthcare industry.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-energy, results-driven, and dynamic work environment.
  • Prior experience in employment staffing, career services, outplacement services, or sales roles.

Responsibilities

  • Empower students and graduates to secure employment in their field of study, initiating their careers in healthcare.
  • Manage a portfolio of graduates, providing personalized assistance to facilitate job placement in the Allied Healthcare sector.
  • Offer expert guidance on interview techniques, workplace expectations, resume development, and other critical career skills.
  • Design and execute strategic plans to achieve and exceed student and graduate employment goals.
  • Consistently meet or surpass departmental metrics, including talk time, interviews, hires, and monthly placement targets.
  • Support Directors with advertising efforts, recruitment of externship and placement sites, and marketing initiatives within the medical community.
  • Monitor student progress during externships to ensure alignment with program objectives and career readiness.
  • Serve as a positive and professional representative of CHCP in the local community.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings and student orientation sessions to align departmental efforts with organizational goals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all state, federal, and accrediting regulations governing career services operations.
  • Foster positive relationships with students throughout their educational journey to promote career services resources and support.
