Trinity Rail is hiring a Career Product Surface Prep Tech at our Jonesboro plant. Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. The Product Surface Prep position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. As a member of the coating’s family at Trinity, you will prepare materials, surfaces, and structures for coverage with paint, laminate, rubber, or other material. Applies coating to specifications and completes detailed special applications as appropriate to the surface and final product requirements. Operates hand tools or equipment to prepare interior and exterior product surfaces for coating operations. Operated automated blast system or hand held grit blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint and dirt. Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Level 1+ experience
- Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures
Responsibilities
- Proficient at automated blast system
- Extensive experience with hand-held grit blast equipment
- Makes minor repairs
- Trains lower levels
- All other duties as assigned
