The purpose of this position is to help MCC students in workforce and academic programs experience success through achieving their educational and career goals. This position serves as a student-centered guide to support individuals in achieving their academic, career, and workforce goals. This role provides holistic advising, career exploration, and connection to resources that foster persistence, completion, and employment success. The Navigator works closely with students, faculty, employers, and community partners to remove barriers, promote college and career readiness, and create clear pathways to success.

  • Design and implement processes and systems for Workforce Development and Community Outreach Initiatives.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business, human services, education or related field.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in a related role in education, human services, or business.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suites (Zoom, Google Meet), web-based software and resources.
  • Previous experience working with grant or performance-based programs with a record of successfully meeting outcomes and metrics.
  • Prior experience working with adult learners.
  • Job Development and/or job placement experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working in, or with, staffing, HR or placement industry.
  • Full-time employment with a starting salary of $20.71-$25.07.
