About The Position
Trinity TankCar, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Career Insulator to join our team in Longview, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and applying insulation to tank cars, which are crucial components in our supply chain that support various industries and contribute to the economy. As part of a company with over 85 years of experience and a workforce of more than 6,000 employees, you will be part of a mission-driven organization focused on delivering goods for the good of all. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and safety of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. In this position, you will utilize specialized tools and equipment to apply insulation effectively. This includes using spray-on glue to coat the exterior of tank cars before the insulation is installed. You will also be responsible for trimming the insulation to the appropriate lengths, ensuring a precise fit. Safety is paramount in this role; therefore, you will be required to wear protective gear, including a half-mask P100 respirator, Kevlar cut-resistant gloves, and a long-sleeve cotton shirt. Additionally, working at heights is a significant aspect of this job, so a full-body harness and self-retracting line will be necessary when performing tasks on top of the tank cars. This position is ideal for individuals who are not afraid of heights and are comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
