About The Position

West Chester Township has an excellent opportunity for a career in fire suppression, prevention, and emergency medical service. The 2026 starting salary is Step 1 - $72,825.74. Applicants with Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic service with a Village, City, County, or other Public Agency, may start as high as Step 3 - $80,940.34. The applicant's career history will be utilized in determining their entry-level. Excellent benefits package. Requirements

  • Certified by the State of Ohio as an EMT or Paramedic and a minimum of Ohio Firefighter Level II at the time of appointment
  • Must be 18 years old & a high school graduate or equivalent at the time of appointment
  • EMT applicants must obtain Paramedic Certification within 3 years of enrollment into a Paramedic Program - Department will pay for Paramedic training
  • Must be physically able to perform all firefighter/paramedic duties.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Hazardous Materials Technician and State of Ohio Fire Safety Inspector certifications or have ability to obtain within one year of hire
