What the Career Education Support Assistant does: Provide daily assistance to the Career Education off-campus program by supervising and transporting students and accompanying staff in the community Implement strategies to develop students’ work skills in community settings Report behavioral data and evaluate student progress Accompany students to off-campus worksites, observe performance, supervise work training, and provide job coaching Transport students and staff to community worksites Maintain positive working relationships with businesses in the community Obtain and maintain a commercial driver’s license (Class B or C) with P and S endorsements Attend meetings, workshops, training, and conferences as requested Assist the Career Education Department as needed

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license in good standing

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working in a special needs school environment preferred

Responsibilities
