PURPOSE The Career Counselor supports the mission of the Career and Professional Development Center at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi by providing individualized and group career guidance, facilitating workshops and classroom presentations, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and employers to help students explore majors, develop career readiness competencies, and secure internships and/or employment. This position is responsible for helping students clarify academic and career goals, prepare effective job/internship search materials, and build confidence in navigating career decisions. The Career Counselor also supports center-wide programming and data reporting efforts to track student engagement and career outcomes.
