About The Position
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seeks an innovative and strategic professional to serve as the next Career Counseling Officer (operational title: Senior Assistant Director, Professional Development Programs) overseeing university-wide professional development initiatives within the Office of Career Exploration and Success. Reporting to the Associate Director for Internships and Professional Development, this role ensures that all students-regardless of major or career interest-develop the career competencies and transferable skills necessary for professional success. The Senior Assistant Director will oversee student organization engagement, career readiness programming for CES student colleagues, and the management of professional skill-building programs. Additionally, this role serves as a key liaison to Student Involvement and experiential learning programs, embedding career readiness initiatives across student engagement and co-curricular activities.
