The College of Science (CoS) Career Center is building a team to support the needs of over 8,000 students in 15 academic units across the University of Arizona campus. Career Coaches will increase visibility and awareness of CoS students and academic units under the direction of the Career Center Director by engaging with internal and external constituents. The CoS Career Center measures performance through student engagement, as well as student internship and full-time placement rates. As a Career Coach, you will offer professional development mentorship to undergraduate College of Science students. We are building a team of career coaches who help students identify, research, and realize professional development goals through individualized coaching as well as small- and large-scale programming. Career Coaches will help students find research, internship, and full-time career opportunities. Career Coaches will assist students with developing application materials, networking, interviewing, and more. The College of Science Career Center team will keep up to date with current hiring and employment trends and identify specific skills required for graduate college acceptance or employment while simultaneously helping students obtain these skills. The College of Science Career Center is currently working in a hybrid model (remote/virtual and in-person), all employees are expected to be available during College of Science Administration hours regardless of working medium. Events and programs will require both virtual and in-person coordination capabilities. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
