About The Position
Lake Park High School is currently hiring for the full-time position of Career and College Counselor - 1.0 FTE: DATE POSTED: December 4, 2025 AVAILABILITY: January 5, 2026 QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree Professional Educator License with a school counselor endorsement Knowledge of basic counseling, leadership, and management skills Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google apps, and cloud-based applications Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed Demonstrated aptitude as a self-starter who works with minimal supervision Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish Effective human relations and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and leadership skills Strong orientation toward providing customer service Strong work ethic Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Career and College Counselor SALARY/RATE: Annual salary of $64,471 to $97,291, based on relevant experience and education per Appendix A of the Licensed Salary Schedule in the District 108 Negotiated Agreement . Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
