The Career Advisor I (CA) is a pivotal role on the team. The CA provides career counseling and coaching to help customers enhance their training and professional skillset to obtain employment in their desired field. The CA expands job seeker employment opportunities through career exploration strategies and directly impacts C2 GPS’ mission success. The Career Advisor will provide comprehensive employment and training services to participants in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training) programs. This role manages a high-volume caseload and is responsible for delivering individualized career coaching, employability assessments, barrier resolution, and job placement support to help participants achieve sustainable employment and self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize competing demands, and a commitment to serving individuals facing multiple employment barriers. Responsibilities include conducting intake and ongoing assessments, developing individualized employment plans, coordinating supportive services, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with federal and state program requirements, and collaborating with community partners and employers. To excel in this role, the candidate must effectively engage diverse populations, deliver quality value-added services, and achieve positive employment outcomes. This position will initially support participants in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training programs; however, additional programs and responsibilities may be assigned based on the operational needs of the Workforce Region.
