The Career Advisor will build a professional one-on-one working relationship with clients to aid in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment. This includes assessment, individualized attention, and coordination. The role involves providing consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up, conducting new customer orientation, and ensuring that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract. The advisor will work with schools, account managers, and management to ensure appropriate documentation is completed and received. Additionally, the advisor will facilitate all professional development workshops and maintain an organized database of clients while keeping detailed documentation of all contacts with clients. The advisor will ensure participants follow through with planned activities as outlined in the contract with the funding agency and provide individualized assessments of work, referring clients to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed. The role also includes accurately completing required documentation for enrollment, documenting all participant contacts and activities in case notes, and ensuring that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contracts. The advisor will create solutions to participant attendance problems, assist in the preparation of project reports, manage programs including the coordination of introductory workshops, facilitate weekly workshops, issue grants in accordance with predetermined allocation targets, and collect placement data. The advisor will work collaboratively with the business services team to identify available jobs, necessary qualifications, and the workshops and trainings that can best prepare job seekers for these positions. Furthermore, the advisor will develop and maintain a standard communication plan to keep staff aware of center-wide issues and their role in meeting operational goals, participate in training and professional development activities, provide operational support and coverage as needed, assist in intake services for the Center, and provide operations support for all compliance-driven standards. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
