Care Team Tech(CNA) - Resource Pool, Full-time Nights Resource Incentive Pay Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. Visit us online at: https://www.aikenregional.com Unit Clerk/Care Team Technician(CNA) is responsible for assisting the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing unit by performing clerical and receptionist duties, and performing patient care/service activities/procedures as outlined by the state.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current CNA certification preferred.
  • BLS certification.
  • Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Performs data collection accurately and promptly.
  • Recognizes variances in patient condition and reports promptly.
  • Follows the plan of care and recommends changes to meet the ongoing needs of the patient.
  • Provides care that is related to the patient’s needs and well-being.
  • Participates in shift report, as a member of the team, to meet the individual needs of the patient.
  • Documents data collection, tasks performed, and patient response accurately and appropriately.
  • Reports abnormal data findings immediately.
  • Provides blood glucose monitoring of patients and notifies nursing of results.
  • Provides for monitoring of patients receiving blood or blood components.
  • Provides for monitoring of patients on fall precautions.
  • Provides interventions within scope of practice (including, but not limited to, simple dressing changes, vital signs, I&O, foley catheter insertion/discontinuation/care, feedings, treatments, specimen collection, linen changes, activities of daily living, turning, and attending to hygiene needs of patients.)
  • Applies, replaces and removes monitoring electrodes and telemetry packs as needed.
  • Assists with the preparation of patients for procedures.
  • Assists with transporting of patients within the hospital.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with various patient categories such as emergent and non-emergent.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of unit supplies.
  • Utilizes all communication systems correctly (pagers, call system, telephone).
  • Reports all identified problems to the Clinical Supervisor and/or Manager
  • Reports off to the Clinical Supervisor when leaving the unit.
  • Maintains confidentiality of the medical record.
  • Entry of patient transfers/discharges into computer system within 15 minutes of actual transfer/discharge.
  • Maintains universal chart order.
  • Other duties as assigned.
