About The Position

Care Team Leader - Inpatient, Pediatric Intermediate/Complex Care 60% FTE, day/evening/night shifts with hours between 3:00pm - 7:30am, including every third weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Care Team Leader (CTL) to: Motivate and lead nursing staff while working in collaboration with the interprofessional team. Analyze and resolve problems that fall outside the domain of the nurse clinician and collaborate with other departments and care providers. Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience in an inpatient unit Required
  • 2 years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient unit Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification Required
  • Peds Universal Care- PALS within 180 Days Required

Nice To Haves

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing Preferred
  • 3 years experience in an acute care inpatient unit Preferred
  • Relevant RN experience with department-specific patient population Preferred
  • National certification in relevant specialty Preferred
