About The Position

The Care Support Manager, under the supervision of the Director of CARES Counseling, serves a vital role in the direct support of students and the operations of the CARES Counseling Center. The individual in this position will serve as both the Counseling Center manager who helps with scheduling, the day-to-day operations of the center, other administrative tasks, as well as serving as a direct support case manager by coordinating care for students, handling referrals, assisting with applications for resources both on and off campus, and other support services. This position also serves as a confidential advocate under Title IX and sexual misconduct cases and will have minimal responsibility with the promotion of services. This position requires a high level of responsibility and confidentiality.

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, business or related field.
  • EXPERIENCE: At least two (2) years experience working with students in a higher education setting

  • Preferred: Graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Business Administration or related field
  • At least four (4) years experience working in education, counseling or medical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Help oversee student employees and interns to assist in maintaining records.
  • Schedule student employment strategically, to assure there is proper coverage in the office.
  • Assist in the scheduling of student client appointments to access services with various staff, as well as informing clients of resources available
  • Coordinate all clinic events to completion, with a focus on student participation
  • Partner with other departments to support programming
  • Work when them at appropriate times to produce marketing material aimed at increasing awareness of student services, and events available for Clinic
  • Collaborate with Registrars, Financial Aid, and other campus departments to assist student with navigating issues experienced
  • Directly support students who are in need of non-clinical services such as basic needs resources
  • Support the CARES Counseling Director in the maintenance of the day-to-day operations of the clinic
  • Serve as a confidential advocate upon completion of confidential campus advocate training. - Must obtain within the first year of employment. Works directly with students and staff to obtain information and make referrals
  • Assist in administrative operational tasks including procurement, report generation of clinic services, managing budgets, etc.
  • Develops and maintains a good working relationship with faculty, staff, students and community members to furnish the mission of the clinic
  • Provides regular reports to supervisor
  • Keep updated documentation of support services offered. Develops and maintains complete, accurate and updated records
  • Monitors, implements, and maintains case management-related technology
  • Supervise staff and student employees
  • Support Director in biweekly SBIST meetings (attendance and note taking). Assist with coordination of marketing materials and distribution.
  • Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.
