About The Position

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Responsible for making all repairs of all guestrooms, guest/public corridors, and special projects as needed.

• High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent and Vocational background in furniture, carpet and fabric care.
• Two years or more working in a hotel engineering environment preferred.

• Pool Tech certification desired

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all guest rooms in accordance with the C.A.R.E. procedures and standards guidelines.
• Report any unusual finding or safety hazards immediately to the Director of Engineering or Director of Housekeeping.
• Document all work performed on a room inspection sheet, work orders.
• Prepare and maintain a daily and quarterly logs of all rooms completed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly C.A.R.E. cart containing all necessary tools, parts and materials.
• Maintain Pool cleaning and maintenance procedures.
• Responsible for painting projects as needed.
• Successfully complete Training Certification Process and review all departmental safety information (i.e. JHA's and MSDS's), practice emergency procedures in compliance with hotel company standards. Reacts and assist in hotel emergency situation as needed.
• Understand and practice hotel emergency fire procedures.
• Offer lateral service to internal/external customer when available.
• Maintain safe conditions in work area and other associated areas.
• Assist with other Engineering Department duties when requested
