About The Position

The position involves providing direct care to residents under the direction of licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as well as assisting with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques. The role also requires observing and reporting changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to nursing staff, assisting with meal service and feeding residents as needed, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. This includes changing linens, making beds, and tidying up resident living areas. Participation in resident activities and socialization opportunities is also expected, along with maintaining accurate documentation of resident care and observations. Effective communication and teamwork are essential.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living or long-term care is preferred.
