About The Position

Care Partners are the frontline staff fulfilling the mission and Christian ministry of MCHAP. Care Partners use their gifts and talents to serve company employees and their immediate families. The position involves making regular visits to company worksites to interact with employees and build relationships of trust and friendship motivated by Christian faith. Care Partners may provide confidential pastoral discussions for various personal issues and assist with planning and conducting funerals, as well as providing post-termination care for laid-off employees. The role requires a commitment to the company's mission and values, and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.

Requirements

  • Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.
  • Effective listening and interaction skills with clients, employees, and their families.
  • Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and to MCHAP's ministry values.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skills in analyzing information to define and follow up on problems or objectives.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or equivalent software.
  • Must have an active state driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose.
  • Interacts with companies, their employees, and the community in a manner that exhibits character through personal and spiritual disciplines.
  • Makes regular visits to company worksites to interact with employees and build relationships of trust and friendship.
  • Visits employees or immediate family members wherever care can be given, including hospitals, nursing homes, and family residences.
  • Provides confidential pastoral discussions for issues of employees and their immediate family members.
  • Assists with planning, conducting, or attending funerals for employees or immediate family members.
  • Works with companies to serve notifications of death and serious injuries to families and other employees.
  • Provides post-termination care for laid-off or terminated employees.
  • Participates in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service and the role of the Care Partner Team.
