About The Position

The Care Partner in Memory Care at Middlefield Oaks Assisted Living LLC is responsible for providing compassionate and empathetic care to residents, assisting them with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. This full-time position requires a positive attitude and a commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors through dedicated support and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Must have State approved Caregiver/CPR Certification.
  • Ability to perform resident care with dignity and individuality.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance and notify supervisors of lateness or absences.
  • Requires minimal supervision and is a self-starter.
  • Organize and utilize time appropriately, setting priorities effectively.
  • Display mature behavior and a pleasant demeanor in interactions.
  • Keep resident information confidential and respect their rights.
  • Ability to perform unpleasant tasks gracefully and assist co-workers.
  • Abide by established policies and procedures of the facility.
  • Look for ways to improve facility functioning.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to spend long periods on feet and ambulate quickly.
  • Free of non-treated communicable diseases.
  • Accurate, dependable, neat, and thorough in assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to learn quickly and adapt.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in caregiving preferred but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with working with the elderly population.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and environmental orientation.
  • Document care provided in the shift-to-shift report book and ADL binder.
  • Escort residents to and from the dining room, encouraging independence.
  • Assist with serving meals and dining room duties as instructed.
  • Provide laundry and housekeeping services to residents as assigned.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of infection control and proper handling of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Observe and report any changes in resident physical or mental status to supervisors.
  • Follow emergency procedures and community policies during incidents.
  • Provide clerical and secretarial support at the front desk as needed.
  • Assist with resident activity programs as assigned.
