About The Position

The Care Partner position at Vanderbilt University Medical Center involves assisting with patient care and maintaining unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role is essential in ensuring efficient and safe patient care within the MCE Recovery unit, which primarily serves ambulatory surgery patients. The position requires working four 10-hour shifts from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a focus on supporting unit operations and patient flow.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Facilitate efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards.
• Serve as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs.
• Support unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.
