Requirements

A background in social work or a related field is preferred.
Experience with crisis management and intervention techniques is essential.
Familiarity with Medicare processes and child welfare systems is advantageous.
Skills in supervising and mentoring staff or volunteers are beneficial.
Previous experience in addiction counseling or working with diverse populations is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized care plans.
Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients and encourage positive behavior changes.
Provide ongoing support and monitoring of client progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, healthcare providers, and community resources.
Facilitate access to services such as Section 8 housing assistance, mental health resources, and addiction counseling.
Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns in best practices for client care and crisis management.
Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in high-stress situations.
Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and service referrals.
