Requirements

  • Professional licensure CTRS, PT, OT, SLP, RN, LPN, LCSW, LPC, etc
  • 4-year degree
  • Passion for helping patients thrive
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
  • A minimum of two years administrative office experience, preferable in a medical setting
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification process
  • Advanced computer software (Microsoft office) and data entry skills
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and oral/written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Obtains patient records and prescriptions
  • Assures patient pre-admission paper work is complete
  • Coordinates "PRN" (pro re nata, when necessary) staffing and employee schedules, as needed
  • Supports the front office team, as back-up for phone, front desk coverage, verifying insurance and scheduling
  • Monitors patient equipment requests including coordination with vendors, therapists, and patients to assure completion
  • Maintains patient care database by entering new information & updating
  • Monitors cancellations, makes follow up calls and sends letters
  • Promotes and hosts support groups and special events (Develops fliers, promotes on web page and social media, decides topics and content, coordinates speakers)
  • Maintains web site (bio’s, news stories, patient stories, newsletters and announcements)
  • Reconciles credit card batch sheets daily
  • Orders supplies for clinic
  • Collects weekly and monthly statistical information and assists director in preparing corporate reports
  • Maintains and develops referral source relationships and corresponds with physicians/referral sources
  • Maintains study information and actively recruits participants
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
