About The Position

The Care Coordinator/Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining the monthly schedules for caregivers and clients in a fast-paced in-home care environment. This role involves coordinating communication between staff and clients, ensuring accurate scheduling, and managing caregiver assignments to meet client needs effectively. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to build relationships with both caregivers and clients.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of administrative experience in an office setting
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the Home Care Industry is preferred but not necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Home Care Industry
  • Familiarity with commonly used software and good internet skills
  • Cheerful presence and strong people skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage workload

Responsibilities

  • Building schedules for caregivers and clients
  • Finding caregivers for clients needing immediate attention
  • Managing caregiver call outs
  • Receiving and confirming availability of employees
  • Matching caregivers to clients based on skills and personalities
  • Managing unconfirmed shifts and scheduling adjustments
  • Confirming shifts and managing client care for consistent caregivers
  • Documenting various events, situations, changes, and cancellations
  • Answering phone calls and filing client and caregiver information
  • Conducting phone and face-to-face interviews when hiring staff
  • Overseeing employee profiles and team building
  • Communicating employee concerns with the operations manager and/or RN
  • Maintaining communication with all staff members and clients
  • Informing the on-call person of outstanding scheduling matters outside business hours
  • Performing on-call duties as required
