About The Position

The Care Center Manager at Empath Health is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing patient and family services at Tidewell Hospice. This position requires 24/7 management of care center operations, ensuring appropriate staffing, monitoring quality measures, and maintaining fiscal oversight. The manager will empower staff, promote customer service excellence, and implement best practices to enhance the patient experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Two years of hospice experience.
• Management experience preferred.
• Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Seven to ten years of total experience in a related discipline.
• Must successfully complete a critical thinking skills assessment.
• Must acquire continuing education related to regulatory and professional practices.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in one of the core disciplines of Hospice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 patient and family services in the Care Center.
• Monitor staffing for skill sets, competencies, and adequate numbers of staff.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and governing regulatory bodies.
• Monitor quality measures for patient and family satisfaction and safety.
• Manage fiscal oversight and strategic planning for the Care Center.
• Provide teaching, coaching, and feedback to staff to promote optimal performance.
• Establish processes that promote learning across departments.
• Seek and respond to feedback from customers with urgency.
• Implement systems and processes to enhance the patient/customer experience.
