Visit us at NKHS.org Check out Life in the NEK of Vermont Care Bed Team Leader: Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is currently seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Care Bed Team Leader to join our Adult Outpatient Program in St. Johnsbury, VT. This full-time leadership role plays a vital part in ensuring high-quality residential care for individuals with mental health needs. As the Care Bed Team Leader, you will provide daily oversight of residential staff while also supporting residents in their physical, emotional, and mental health needs. You’ll collaborate closely with our Adult Outpatient Program Manager and help guide admissions, treatment planning, and discharges—all while fostering a supportive, person-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field with relevant coursework OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in residential or outpatient mental health services
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet documentation standards
  • Ability to collaborate with medical and clinical professionals
  • Compassion, professionalism, and strong leadership skills
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mental health, social work, developmental services, or substance use services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and scheduling oversight for residential staff
  • Support resident care, including daily living skills, medical coordination, and treatment planning
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive living environment
  • Assist with staff training, documentation, and program compliance
  • Collaborate with NKHS teams and outside providers
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our electronic health record
  • Support program development and quality improvement efforts
