Care Attendant
About The Position
The Care Attendant assists with resident care under the direction of Licensed Personnel and within the scope of defined practice. This role requires a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. The Care Attendant serves as a liaison between the Resident Services Manager, licensed staff, outside health services, and families, ensuring effective communication and accurate record-keeping. The position adheres to practice in accordance with the Ephraim McDowell Health nursing professional practice model, focusing on patient and family-centered care, compassion, competence, communication, collaboration, and teamwork. The individual is also responsible for participating in shared nursing leadership to achieve positive outcomes, education, respect, dignity, and safety, while exhibiting the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
