Care Assistant
About The Position
The incumbent is a member of the healthcare team who is accountable for patient care supportive services for a unit(s) under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations, (such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure. As our Care Assistant, you’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities. Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms. Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients’ conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.
Requirements
- One (1) year CNA/nurse assistant/care giver in a healthcare setting.
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
