Role: Support and assists all areas of Rogue Credit Union (Rogue) cards processes and services. Actively anticipates and addresses common member concerns related to debit, credit and ATM card billing discrepancies, card requests, transaction denials, disputed charges, fraudulent activities, and limit enhancements within established regulatory and procedural deadlines, utilizing expertise in card program. Identifies and supports ways to enhance member loyalty, expand member relationships, increase operational efficiencies, and balance risk for the credit union. Works in conjunction with the department to support Rogue's Vision, Mission, and Values.

Requirements

  • One month to two years of similar or related experience or knowledge of credit, debit, ATM products and procedures preferred.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside of the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Must be able to operate a 10-key calculator by touch.
  • Must be computer proficient and ready to use PC spreadsheet software.
  • Must have good productivity with the ability to manage the workload and meet deadlines.
  • Must be thorough and have an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Active listening skills, with deductive reasoning ability.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of duties related to the cards area including but not limited to; all internal and external member inquiries related to the cards area which includes processing new card orders, returned cards, Co-Op Adjustments, investigating and processing card disputes, performing routine maintenance on existing cards, card issuance, card transaction research, troubleshoot reported card-related issues and fraud reporting. Maintains a general knowledge and understanding of key system operations, rules, regulations, and credit union policies and guidelines surrounding card processing to ensure processing limits, liabilities and timelines are adhered to.
  • Provides exceptional internal member service experiences through various communication channels in a friendly and professional manner using Rogue’s Service Promises to assist, educate, empower, and complete member requests. Provides unsurpassed external member service to resolve and complete member requests promptly and accurately. Reviews payment reports and communicates with management regarding trends and/or areas of concern.
  • Actively cross-trains with teammates and sub-teams to expand knowledge and provide backup support as requested. Identifies opportunities for member and interdepartmental education, procedure refinement and process improvement opportunities. Routinely reviews processes and procedures and proactively completes and/or reports updates.
  • Proactively performs other related duties as needed assigned.
