Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing basic history and physical pre-exams, non-invasive vascular flow studies, echocardiograms, and other ultrasound procedures on both in-patients and out-patients.
• Prepare and evaluate accurate test results at a technical level in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements for physician interpretation.
• Ensure the safe, efficient, and proper operation of ultrasound equipment.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Perform exams in accordance with established departmental guidelines to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Act as a liaison with physicians and their office staff to expedite procedures and results.
• Verify requested procedures by referring to the chart and contact the appropriate person if there are discrepancies.
• Recognize abnormalities and report findings to physicians and/or nursing staff promptly.
