About The Position

Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) per IAC standards. Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort. Accurately document and report findings in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and team members. Maintain equipment and exam rooms per infection control standards. Participate in lab quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Attend required meetings, in-services, and training sessions. Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning. Cross-functional responsibilities include: Performs EKGs, Stress and Nuclear Stress testing, EEG, and any other delegated duties, with training and support. Complies with the IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) Standard Protocol & utilization of saline & contrast Echo Sonographer II Includes skills of Sonographer Level 1+ Strain & Pedoff, Basic 3D, Stress Echo Consistently takes initiative to develop professionally; Positive attitude; Increased engagement; shift from internal focus to external team/department/org. ; demonstrates HRO culture by identifying patient safety issues Assist with IAC ASE Member, Attends Echo Conference, Preceptor Complete CVT PACT Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer proficiency and comfort with digital imaging systems. Attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and protocols Must be able to lift and position patients and equipment as needed. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends or holidays, if required. Must maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and continuing education requirements. Diligence, consistent, positive attitude, demonstrates HRO culture by identifying patient safety issues and willingness to engage in professional growth opportunities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
  • 1-3 years of experience in echocardiography.
  • Registered through ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with digital imaging systems.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and protocols
