About The Position

Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join the Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery team located at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Enjoy a practice that consists of the ICU rounding and some outpatient clinic time. The surgery team is strongly supported by an equally distinguished cardiology group providing a full range of services, including advanced EP, structural heart disease procedures, cardio-oncology and heart failure. Experienced physician assistants, nurse practitioners and excellent facilities make for an efficient, pleasant work environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant program
• Eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants
• Eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine
• Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners
• Eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
• Acute care certification required
• Certified to work with all patient population age groups

Responsibilities
