Requirements

  • Coursework/Training Graduate of a two-year invasive cardiovascular program, or successful completion of a formal Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist --or-- Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists --or-- National Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year of Cath Lab experience.
  • 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing a variety of technical procedures, including—but not limited to—percutaneous diagnostic and interventional cardiac/vascular procedures and open surgical procedures under direct physician supervision.
  • Participate in all daily duties required to deliver high‑quality patient care and imaging within the Cath/IR Department.
  • Obtain optimal radiographs and support the physician in maintaining an aseptic environment during procedures.
  • Monitor patients and demonstrate appropriate clinical responses to changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular equipment and supplies, and assist with their use as needed.
  • Be available for on‑call shifts as required.
