About The Position

We are seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist to assist credentialed providers with diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac and Vascular Lab. This role works under direct supervision and supports patient care before, during, and after invasive cardiovascular procedures while promoting teamwork and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited invasive cardiovascular technologist program OR
  • Two (2) years of allied health education (RN, RT, Radiologic Tech, EMT, etc.) AND
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Cath Lab experience
  • RCIS, RCES, ARRT–Cardiac Interventional, or ARRT–Vascular Interventional (Required within 12 months of hire)
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet on-call response requirements
  • Team-oriented and patient-focused mindset

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of recent interventional cath lab experience
  • Active RCIS or RCES certification
  • Experience with IVUS and Site Rite ultrasound

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures as a scrub assistant or monitor/recorder
  • Prepare and position patients for invasive procedures
  • Monitor and record hemodynamic data, cardiac rhythms, and waveforms
  • Manage arterial and venous access sites post-procedure, including sheath removal and hemostasis
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot hemodynamic monitoring equipment
  • Assist with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) setup and monitoring when required
  • Administer intra-coronary or intra-arterial medications under physician supervision
  • Maintain sterile field using aseptic technique
  • Start and maintain IVs (with appropriate certification)
  • Perform point-of-care testing (ACT, ABGs, oxygen saturation)
  • Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and alert providers per protocol
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes
  • Assist with patient transport, supply restocking, and equipment troubleshooting
  • Support quality assurance and safety initiatives
