The Cardio Catheterization Technician 3 performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures and surgeries. This includes EKG lead placement, blood pressure and pulse oximetry setup for hemodynamic monitoring, and preparing sterile procedure trays and patient sterile fields. The role involves operating physiologic and radiographic equipment, maintaining procedure room readiness, and accurately documenting patient data. The technician will perform basic Electrophysiology (EP) procedures, operate EP recording and mapping systems independently, and assist physicians with EP diagnostic and advanced mapping systems, as well as pulsed field ablation techniques. Additionally, this position is responsible for mentoring and training new staff, participating in unit-based practice councils, and contributing to quality and safety committees for Electrophysiology (EP).
