About The Position

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures. Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols. To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training, upon hire or
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology and One year of work experience in the core level of the job, or any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire
  • Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification: WA, upon hire or
  • Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image, per physicians’ direction and in adherence to department protocols.
  • Reviews procedure order to determine materials/supplies that will be needed.
  • Ensures all equipment and instruments are in proper working condition by inspecting equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Sets up/stocks the procedure room/procedure trays with all needed supplies and equipment prior to procedure.
  • Cleans procedure room post-procedure, including cleaning of equipment/machinery in accordance with established procedures, to facilitate room turnover.
  • Inputs data into the imaging modality systems.
