About The Position

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures. Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols. To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an AMA accredited Vascular Lab Training Program as well as certification or board eligible by a nationally recognized Vascular Technology Registry.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and (Must Be through the American Heart Association)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year acute care experience, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Receives patients and explains Vascular Lab procedures in order to obtain cooperation and allay anxieties during performance of procedure; continually assesses the immediate needs and conditions of assigned patients.
  • Performs non-invasive vascular procedures in accordance with department protocols and guidelines.
  • Checks the quality of images/scans in general and is responsible for the data and quality control of work performed.
  • Communicates preliminary findings and/or reading physician's written interpretation of tests, when indicated, to designated staff and referring Physician Offices.
  • Assists in scheduling patients for vascular examinations and keeps front office personnel notified about changes that impact the daily schedule.
  • Maintains work areas in clean and orderly condition and ensures that examination areas are properly supplied, equipped and operational before each examination.
