About The Position

The Cardiology Invasive Technologist performs a wide range of technical skills which are utilized during cardiac and vascular procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and the electrophysiology laboratory. The cardiovascular technologist is responsible for operating highly technical equipment and products under the direct supervision of a qualified licensed independent practitioner (LIP). The Technologist is proficient in all aspects of angiography, patient preparation, assessment, documentation and monitoring consistent with all policies, procedures and processes to ensure safe, efficient, and comfortable exams for all patients.

Requirements

• Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International or eligible to complete certification within 6 months from date of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification.
• Previous experience as required by Cardiovascular Credentialing International.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of previous invasive cardiology experience.
• PALS and ACLS certification.
