Requirements

• Associates Degree Required - Major in Cardiovascular Services and/or Radiological Sciences.
• Must be registered with credentials and/or ARRT R.T.(R) in Radiology Required.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Required.
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Required.
• Cardiovascular Interventional Tech Cert (CVIT) Required.
• Licensed Paramedic (PARA) Required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic examinations and therapeutic interventions of the heart and/or blood vessels at the request or direction of a physician.
• Assists the EP physician in diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias and neurocardiogenic syncope.
• Works closely with IR physician and performs a minimal invasive image-guided diagnosis and treatment of diseases in every organ system.
• Performs hemodynamic and patient monitoring functions during procedures.
• Scrubs in and performs clinical procedures independently, obtaining anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for physician interpretation.
• Manages high-stress situations such as codes, STEMIs, and emergencies with skill and knowledge to scrub and monitor independently.
• Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated equipment, instruments, and supplies for each procedure.
